How to avoid late night snacking

Do you have sleepless nights thinking about the half eaten pie in the fridge? Or maybe it is the ice screams sandwiches you bought earlier?  We have all been there.... but what can we do to avoid eating late night snacks?. The following are some of the hardest things to do but if you practice it it will be the easiest thing to stay fit and healthy

Things you will need:

  • Willpower
  • Sense of humor

 

Step1

Ok so maybe you are pre menstrual and you just can't help it. Got a sweet tooth that wakes up at night? What can we do to feel relaxed or go to bed without feeling deprived? Following these steps will help.

 

Step2

Drink ice cold water. When water is ice cold it takes the body longer to digest it so the body is working feeling satisfied and the water will fill you.

 

Step3

I love sweet teeth Ok so it is a sweet tooth that you have. First keep in mind your dentist will be happy to know that you are adding to his profits from you. Instead brush your teeth. This satisfies your nasty sweet tooth and after brushing the last thing we want to do is eat because the food will taste funny plus our mouths are nice and clean.

 

Step4

Clear your mind Meditate. Find the inner peace and clear the mind. Allow your mind to relax.
Yoga is wonderful also for mind, body and soul and focuses on the "breath". If you are focusing on your breath or finding your center you will not be thinking cookies, cakes or candies.

 

Step5

Do regular exercise. That's right, move it you will get a good work out lose the hunger pains and feel and look better.

 

Step6

Get a hobby such as arts and crafts or something that will keep your mind and hands busy. This will take your mind off of food.

 

Step7

Laugh it off. Watch a good comedy and laugh out loud. Laughter is the best medicine. If you can laugh at yourself you are already more than halfway there. How upset can you be about the doughnuts that are calling your name? Laugh at yourself and realize you don't "NEED" those cookies in the cabinet, you may want them but you know better and if you are reading this article think about it do you really NEED them?
